A Little Bit About Barbara

Bill___Barbara_Richardson_preview.jpg

Perhaps because she seems to be less outspoken than others or because she wasn't the 42nd President of the United States, Barbara Richardson is the top tier candidate's spouse most people seem to know the least about. Barbara was born in Massachusetts and attended college not far from Bill. For a detailed description of Barbara, click here. Below are a few quick facts about New Mexico's First Lady

  • Graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wheaton College
  • In 2007 Bill and Barbara celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary
  • She formed the New Mexico Immunizations Coalition in April 2003, helping to greatly increase immunizations for New Mexico's children
  • She has served as Chair for Read Across America in New Mexico
  • She helped form the New Mexico Big Brothers/Big Sisters First Lady’s Bowl for Kids Sake, which has raised more than $150,000 over the past four years

I could go on and on about Barbara's service, especially to our youth, but we have plenty of time for and this is just an quick introduction to Barbara; in the coming months leading up to the January 19th Caucus, we're sure you'll hear much more about the Governor's wife.
