The JJ Dinner Is Near

The Jefferson-Jackson Dinner sponsored by the Captial City Democrats will be Thursday, March 25, at the Carson City Nugget beginning at 5:30pm. This annual event is affectionately called the "JJ Dinner."

Two keynote speakers will offer their vision for our city and the state at this year's J-J Dinner, Carson City's Mayor Bob Crowell and former Nevada Appeal managing editor Barry Smith.

Several candidates for local, state and federal offices will tell us their ideas and plans. Among them are Jessica Sferazza, candidate for lieutent governor; Rory Reid, candidate for governor; Jack Schofield, candidate for 2nd congressional district; Ken Furlong, candidate for Carson City sheriff. This list is expected continue growing.

The excitement begins at 5:30 pm with a no-host bar and live entertainment. The buffet opens at 6:15 pm and the program starts at 7:00 pm. A raffle drawing will occur at 8:30 pm. Admission is $45 per person.

Its March, Lets Meet!

The Capital City Democrats host Robert Randazza, a Democratic candidate for lieutenant governor, on Wednesday, 3 March, at 7pm in the AFSCME conference room at Robinson and Roop streets in Carson City.

This is the usual monthly meeting for the Carson City Democratic Central Committee. The recent successful caucus and future events will be discussed.
