The annual Jefferson-Jackson dinner will be held Friday April 25th at the Carson Nugget Casino. Former US Senator (and former Nevada governor) Richard Bryan will be the keynote speaker. Jill Derby will be a featured guest. The cocktail hour music will be provided by pianist by Evelyn Summers. The cost is $45 for no-host cocktails at 5:30pm, followed by dinner at 6:30pm. A table (seating for 8) is available for $320. This is a major fundraiser for the Carson City Democrats. The annual Fashion Show will be April 26th at the Plaza Hotel Convention Center from noon to 2 p.m. The price is $25 per person. There will be a sandwich buffet with salads, coffee, tea and water. Fashions featured from Penney's new Ralph Lauren and Liz Claiborne lines. Those modeling will include high profile Democratic public officials and personalities. The class will be held on Friday May 9, at 10 a.m. If you would like to attend, please call the office (887-2087) so they will know how many will be coming.
