The next meeting of the Carson City Democratic Women's Club will be Saturday April 12th at Grandma Hattie's in the Conference Room from 11:30AM to 1:30PM. There will not be a guest speaker; CCDWC will be working on the fashion show and other projects. All Democrats and friends are welcome. A brunch buffet will be provided and is $12 per person. The annual Jefferson-Jackson dinner will be held Friday April 25th at the Carson Nugget Casino. Former US Senator (and former Nevada governor) Richard Bryan will be the keynote speaker. Jill Derby will be a featured guest. The cocktail hour music will be provided by pianist by Evelyn Summers. The cost is $45 for no-host cocktails at 5:30pm, followed by dinner at 6:30pm. A table (seating for 8) is available for $320. This is a major fundraiser for the Carson City Democrats. The annual Fashion Show will be April 26th at the Plaza Hotel Convention Center from noon to 2 p.m. The price is $25 per person. There will be a sandwich buffet with salads, coffee, tea and water. Fashions featured from Penney's new Ralph Lauren and Liz Claiborne lines. Those modeling will include high profile Democratic public officials and personalities.
