The Carson City Democrats will meet 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 6th, in the AFSCME Local 4041 Building located at 709 East Robinson Street, on the southwest corner of Roop & Robinson. We are honored to have Nevada's Attorney General, Catherine Cortez Masto with us for this meeting. She will be speaking of our recent Nevada caucus experience, her first year as our Attorney General and taking questions from those in attendance. Catherine's experience prior to being our Attorney General includes: Chief of Staff to Governor Miller, Federal Criminal Prosecutor and Assistant County Manager for Clark County. Her accomplishments in each position are extensive. Please join us at this meeting. All Democrats and friends are welcome. The next meeting of the Carson City Democratic Women's Club will be Saturday February 9th at Grandma Hattie's in the Conference Room from 11:30AM to 1:30PM. Nevada State Treasurer Kate Marshall will be the guest speaker. A brunch buffet will be provided and is $12 per person. All Democrats and friends are welcome. 2008 Carson City County Convention – The convention will be held on Saturday February 23 at Eagle Valley Middle School, located at 4151 East 5th Street in Carson City. Nevada State Assemblywoman Bonnie Parnell will be the keynote speaker. The convention will begin at 10AM; doors will not be open until 8AM. Only convention staff will be permitted in the building before 8AM. Registration is from 8AM to 10AM. Delegates and alternates may register early on Friday February 22 (4pm-7pm) at CCDCC Headquarters. We will be e-mailing the platform to delegates soon; copies will also be available at our office. If you are a delegate, please bring the pink copy of your Delegate Election Certificate, a government-issued photo ID with your current residential address and a pen (black ink) to the convention.
