Carson City Democrat's Monthly Meeting
The Carson City Democrats will meet Wednesday November 7th, 7pm in the State of Nevada Employees Association Building located at 709 East Robinson Street (southwest corner of Roop and Robinson). Matt Griffin from the Nevada Secretary of State office will speak on the election issues leading up to the General Election on November 4, 2008. Also joining us is Alan Glover, Carson City's Clerk-Recorder, who will address local preparations for this upcoming year. If you have questions or you are just curious about the new energy created by the early Nevada caucus date, you should be at this meeting. We are also being joined by Deidre Des Jardins of “Peace Action West”, the campaign for “Voters for Peace and Security”. She will speak on the differences between our presidential candidates’ positions on Iraq, Iran and nuclear weapons. In addition, we will be discussing the current status of the Nevada Caucus and it's progress in Carson City.
